Models catwalk across the ramp while flaunting the vibrant and bold designs by the designer amid the pandemic, in Berlin.
Even something as deadly as the coronavirus pandemic could not hold back Berlin-based designer Anja Gockel, from showcasing her 2021 summer collection.
The daring and absolutely bold designer wore the mask like a crown and walked the ramp along with the models to show the world that there’s victory beyond fear.
In a desperate attempt to keep her business afloat, much like the rest of the world, she showcased her Asuka collection during the show.
Anja Gockel, whose collection is showcased every year at the Berlin Fashion Week, at the Hotel Adlon Kempinski Berlin, didn’t let the pandemic come in her way, even this year.
She refused to back down and went ahead with her own fashion show, when Berlin Fashion Week was now moved to Frankfurt.
“The people in the Adlon have been with me at my shows for years and are so wonderfully supportive, I said on the first day of the lockdown that they shouldn’t send me emails saying it won’t work. Because it will! And it did!”
The fashion show which usually is packed with people didn’t see more than 200 people seated this time.
But like they say, the show must go on!
